Our Eurobike Highlights 2019

For the third time, we were able to present tex-lock to 60,000 visitors at the Eurobike. This year, too, the interest was huge and we were pleased to see a lot of "hustle and bustle" at our stand in Hall A4. During the constant touching and kneading of the textile bicycle locks, many interesting conversations took place: for example, a bicycle friend told us how he was able to observe on his surveillance camera that a thief had been trying unsuccessfully to get at the tex-lock for half an hour.

We love the Eurobike for the exciting encounters with dealers and customers. Our development team made the most of the time and came across great new products in the vastness of the countless and huge exhibition halls. We would like to share a small selection of them with you here:

Pi Rope - textile spokes

Textile spokes sounds as crazy as a textile bicycle lock - so it's right up our alley. The guys and gals from Pi Rope have also made use of high-tech textiles to incorporate them into their passion - cycling. The whole thing works perfectly, because spokes are subjected to tensile stress. The fibres of the textile spokes have a five times lower density than conventional spokes and are therefore much lighter. In addition, they reduce the risk of spoke breakage, because when they are subjected to transverse loads, they give way and return to their original position. With PI ROPE wheels from Chemnitz you are always one step ahead!

MyBoo - Bamboo Bikes

Have you heard about the bicycles made of bamboo? Our friends from Kiel build bicycle frames from the wonderful material bamboo. But there is more to it than that, because with the frame construction they support projects in Ghana, where the bicycles are also manufactured. They use part of the proceeds to build the Yonso Project Model School, which is intended to give children in the region access to a good education. Hats off for so much courage and commitment!

FIDLOCK - smart bottle holder

Fidlock develop a wide variety of locking solutions for bicycles and bicycle accessories. Among other things, we worked with them on the development of our tex-lock saddle mount. At EUROBIKE, they had their latest solution for bike bottle cages. FIDLOCK TWIST has freed the bike bottle from its cage by combining the fun of magnetic power with the security of a firm mechanical connection. This solution will certainly be found on one or two bikes from our team.

BRIKBIKES - Design bicycles without chain

This friendly company from the Netherlands produces minimalist design bicycles for commuters. The special thing about the bikes is that they don't need a conventional chain. If you take a look at the rear wheel and crank of some of the bikes from BRIKBIKES, you will notice that the chain is missing: The chain is missing. In its place is a drive shaft. What's more, our tex-lock mate looks damn good on the bikes that come with a frame lock as standard.

I LOCK IT - digital frame lock

Our attention naturally increases with everything that has to do with bicycle locks. The smart frame lock from I LOCK IT secures your bike automatically - the smartphone becomes the digital key. Now the security package is even smarter with integrated GPS tracking. In case of a theft alarm, you get a real-time notification on your smartphone and can track the position of your bike live. They even won the Gold Award at the Eurobike - congratulations!

Finn bike citizens - smartphone holder including app

Small, but smart. The elastic smartphone holder fits all smartphones and all bikes. But that's not all, with every Finn you get the Bike Citizens app for free. The app is not only a navigation tool, it also allows you to track all your rides and even participate in cool cycling campaigns with thousands of other cyclists. We're in!
