The U/X-lock is a secure U-lock with a surprisingly light weight and small size that has a certified high level of security and protects your bike from paint scratches. It is also easy to clean and particularly durable.
Many experts believe that a high weight is a sign of a secure bike lock. Not so with the U/X-lock.
The light weight and slim design do not compromise security one bit. The independent testing institutes ART and Sold Secure have confirmed the high level of security andawarded the U/X-lock as a high-quality lock.
The Dutch ART Foundation has awarded the eyelet U/X-Bundle the ART*2 seal of approval, which certifies a high level of theft protection for bicycles. It applies in connection with the tex-lock eyelet.
The British Sold Secure organization has awarded the small shackle lock the Sold Secure Gold Label, acknowledging its high level of resistance to a talented thief.

You can attach the U/X-lock to your bike without the lightweight bike lock getting in the way while riding.
Thanks to its slim waist, the small U-lock even fits in a small bag and hardly weighs down your luggage with its maximum weight of 640 grams.
The small flyweight also benefits you in terms of handling. The rubberized handle of the U/X-lock lies securely in your hand and can be easily guided around the bike parts to be secured.

The U/X-lock is supplied with two brackets of different lengths. The longer X-lock shackle secures several bike parts or your bike to fixed objects. The shorter U-lock shackle sits closer to the bike instead, making it all the more difficult to crack open. The shackles can be locked on both sides. Thieves therefore have to pick both sides before they can open the lock.
Note: Whether the U-lock fits around the seat tube and the rear wheel depends on your tire width. If the distance between the tube and the inside of the rim is less than 13 cm, it fits drum. In principle, it is possible for all tires up to 45mm width.
The shackles are made of hardened steel, which is inherently extremely robust. The plastic coating around it gives the lock additional protection against all kinds of external influences.
Rain, mud, snow, ice and other influences cannot harm the U/X-lock . This is also thanks to the clever sealing cap, which prevents dirt from penetrating the inside of the window locking cylinder.
If the U-lock is stuck, you can carefully remove the dirt with a cotton swab, a toothpick or a bent safety pin and add 1-2 drops of oil. Read the details in our article about cleaning bike locks.
Due to the rubber coating, the bracket is not only protected from external influences and lies safely in your hand when connecting, but also protects your bike from paint scratches.
If the U/X-lock moves back and forth on your frame while riding or bumps against the frame when you connect it, you don't need to worry about scratching the beautiful paintwork.
